# Balustrade Remodels

### Scope of Work

Balustrade remodels generally involve removing the existing balustrade system down to the flooring or subfloor. From there, Tate will install a new landing tread, newel posts, balusters, and handrails.

- A **new landing tread** will be installed.
- **Newel posts** will be installed plumb and sturdy.
- **Handrails** will be installed tight to the newel posts.
- **Balusters** will be installed with even spacings.
- **Workmanship** will be top quality, and the work site will be straightened up and cleaned daily.
- You will receive **excellent customer service**. Tate aims to bring your vision to life in a pleasant, professional way.

### Installation Pricing

A lot of work goes into installation. The pricing below includes the cost of the field labor to install the balustrade, the project management labor to ensure the project runs smoothly, an appropriate slice of the business overhead costs, and a reasonable business profit.

- **$250** per foot of balustrade
- **$50** per foot for wall-mounted handrails
- **$850** for staining and topcoating of all wooden handrail parts

### Material Pricing

The cost of wood varies depending upon the design, wood species, and industry supply. On average, previous projects have had the following pricing.

- **$100 - $150** per foot of red oak
- **$150 - $200** per foot of white oak
