# Mendota Heights Staircase

### Project Scope

An old, worn-out staircase was due for replacement. The open skirtboard design called for a high level of craftsmanship to pull off.

### Project Results

For this stair remodel project, the client selected:

- Poplar treads and risers
- Poplar skirtboard and skirt cap
- Custom engineered flooring landing treads
- 'Open' riser-skirtboard detail, where the staircases risers were mitered into the skirtboard seamlessly

Custom landing treads were created from the engineered flooring that tied the staircase's landing in perfectly with the existing flooring.
