The clients for this project wanted to update their carpeted stairway with prefinished oak treads and risers. The old skirt board and skirt cap were thoughtfully replaced to provide a fresh and seamless look from the bottom to the top of the stairway. The odd framing in this St Paul house posed a unique challenge for any carpenter. A story pole and a laser level allowed me to perfectly level each tread and ensure that each rise was the exact same height! An excellent opportunity to hone my craft!
