Summit Ave Historical Restoration
A project of a lifetime! This unique project required extensive planning and thoughtfulness during installation. The gutter boxes on this 1920’s house started to leak, and the leaks lead to significant damage to the decorative exterior millwork. On many of the 2nd story corners of this house the soffit, corbels, fascia and crown molding were all damaged beyond simple repair. The damaged parts were removed, the leaks were fixed and in-kind replacement parts were reinstalled to match the original installation.
Months prior to the start of the project the arched crown was measure for length and its radius of curvature. Then the crown was special ordered and carefully installed to seamlessly tie into the horizontal section of crown. The front entry pediment require extensive work to return it to its original glory. The crown, bed molding, fascia, soffit and dentil were all custom fabricated.
